Durable and lightweight, Klean Kanteen stainless steel bottles are 100 percent recyclable and will outlast their plastic counterparts. 27-ounce bottle: $17. www.KleanKanteen.com

If you want plastic, the CamelBak Better Bottle is made from Eastman Tritan copolyester, a new non-BPA-leaching plastic. (BPA is a chemical some believe could be harmful to human health.) 25-ounce bottle, $9; www.CamelBak.com
